On our long drive to Glacier Lagoon we stopped for multiple photo ops along the way.
Our first stop was at Seljalandsfoss (do not ask me how to pronounce it) where you can actually walk behind the waterfall. When we first arrived it was very crowded so we decided to continue along and stop back on our return to Reykjavik.
We caught a glimpse of Skogafoss from the road and decided to stop and check it out.
As we made our way closer you could feel the power of the thundering water as it pounded the ground below. The mist caused so many beautiful rainbows and birds would sweep down from their perch and soar around the impressive waterfall. This was one of my favorites.
We climbed, what felt like a million stairs, to make our way to the top. The views were nice but I actually preferred the view better from the bottom.
Making our way back to Reykjavik we stopped again at Seljalandsfoss while the sun was beginning to set (at 11:30pm) and caught some really striking views from behind the waterfall. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
