"If you are brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello." 

Jer's sister has decided to ditch the cold temperatures and move out on her own to the Sunshine State. She is packing up and starting a whole new exciting adventure.

Before she leaves in two weeks, friends and family gathered at her uncle's bar to bid her farewell.

Some things to keep in mind when living on your own for the first time:


Ramen Noodles are 25cents a pack and super easy to make. Creamy Chicken is my all time favorite. Add some shredded carrots, green onions, peanut butter for some protein and you have yourself some Pad freaking Thai on the cheap.



Your brother is always right; there is no use arguing this fact.


When you are out meeting new people try and keep the fact that you are living alone to a minimum. People are crazy, trust no one.


Drinking wine makes you seem more sophisticated (exibit A below). You may just find better suitors by switching up your beverage of choice. 



Some self defense techniques: Invest in a can of mace, go for the eyes (your thumb is more powerful than you think), knee to the groin or stomach, and then scream like hell and run like Forest Gump.



Learn to budget quickly because the bills start coming even quicker and your like what the...



Don't expect your siblings to be too broken up about the move when they now have free lodging at the beach. I, mean?




Just know when you come home it will be like nothing has changed and you can go back to drinking beer. 


Good Luck. We will miss you but so proud of you for taking a huge step and wish you nothing but success and happiness. Go get 'em girl!
